Blog Blah Blah Blah

I don’t like saying the word “blog.”  It’s an ugly word.  It sounds like “blob” or “slug.”  It gets caught in your throat.

I was resistant to starting a blog for a long time.  I didn’t want to end up on a list like this:  http://tech.msn.com/products/slideshow.aspx?cp-documentid=13523062&GT1=40000  I also didn’t think I could handle posting at least three times a week.  But the advice of fellow writers, agents, and industry professionals could be ignored no more, so I started it.  I hope it’s not entirely lame and unreadable.  At least I’m enjoying myself.

I am, in fact, a blog reader.  I like checking in with my blogs every day or every couple of days.  I get disappointed when I don’t get to see a new post.  Here is a list of my favorite writer/reader-related blogs:

Your’s is my first literary blog but I am a blog junkie. Here are a few of my favorites:
http://www.dooce.com/ (the queen of all mommy blogs) I love her writing style and her Daily Style section.
http://postsecret.blogspot.com/ – I read it faithfully. I wish he kept an archives, but I have his books on my wish list!
http://melissathemouth.com/ – Another Mommy blog. I love all off her shopping recommendations from books to shoes!
http://www.jasminestarblog.com/ – She’s a wedding photographer in California who has a blog. Not sure how I stumbled on this one. Her writing is very sincere and her pictures are beautiful.
    Glad I could share!
